SUMMARY:4th Anniversary of the Houston Wastewater Consent Decree: BCWK at Houston City Hall
DESCRIPTION:Four years have passed since a federal judge in Houston approved a landmark agreement requiring the City of Houston to invest $2 billion in local sanitary sewer upgrades over 15 years\, but it left out funding for private sewer laterals\, resulting in an unjust burden on our residents. \nThe City of Houston and Harris County must close infrastructure gaps that disproportionately affect lower-wealth communities by investing in comprehensive water infrastructure improvements.
