[Workshop] From Histories of Non-Consent to Infrastructure Justice: Exploring Community Power at Prairie View A&M University

Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) are proud to announce a collaborative workshop, “From Histories of Non-Consent to Infrastructure Justice: Exploring Community Power,” to be held on October 29, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Don K. Clarke Juvenile Justice & Psychology Building on the PVAMU campus. The event will bring together students, faculty, staff, and community members to explore interdisciplinary research opportunities focused on historical and contemporary interactions between Texas Freedom Colonies, other community-based entities, universities, and governmental organizations.

Join Kourtney Revels, Bayou City Waterkeeper’s Water Justice Organizer, as she speaks on this panel about the perspectives of equitable water infrastructure for communities.
