Cassandra recently graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sustainability Studies. She comes from a background in conservation having worked three summers in Grand Canyon National Park with rare species and plants. She has lived in various states across the U.S., gaining life experience and love for each place she has lived. She moved back to Houston, Texas to be closer to family but has seen that there is a lot of conservation work to be done here. Her mother’s work with Climate Justice in Houston inspired her desire and need to gain knowledge about non-profit work. She is excited to learn more with BCWK about the connections between water, pollution, and the impacts on our health.
