Alex Johnson has joined our legal team for the Fall semester. We are grateful for his help as we use the law to protect water quality, wetlands, and local communities across the lower Galveston Bay watershed.
Alex is a third year law student at the University of Houston Law Center in the Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources program. After growing up in Southern California near Long Beach, he earned his BA in Theology from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. He then spent a year and a half working as a live audio engineer and getting married before moving to Houston to start law school. In his spare time, Alex likes to watch soccer and football, camp and hike in the mountains, and cook and bake with his wife.
Throughout the year Bayou City Waterkeeper hosts law, policy, and science interns to help with our research, investigation, and analysis of issues affecting water quality, wetlands, and resilience to flooding and hurricanes across the greater Houston-Galveston region.
