Green Infrastructure Design Lab
Bayou City Waterkeeper is launching a Green Infrastructure Design Lab in Kashmere Gardens to strengthen community-led flooding solutions focused on nature and green infrastructure. The Design Lab will educate community members on green infrastructure through a range of topics, including open ditches, bioswales, rain gardens, bayous, wetlands, and various fields such as law, policy, science, and planning.
Through a six-week cohort, starting in April 2026, of 10–15 participants, community members and technical experts will learn together through modules, discussions, field trips, and hands-on demonstration projects, to design community-driven solutions around green infrastructure and flooding. Selected applicants will receive a $1,500 stipend upon completion of the cohort.
Deadline: February 6
