Emily is a second-year law student at Thurgood Marshall School of Law; she is interested in working at the intersection of emerging technologies and regulatory affairs. Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University and served in the U.S. Air Force, where she developed an understanding of cybersecurity and network infrastructures. Witnessing how the rapid expansion of water-intensive data centers threatens regional resources across Texas, she was drawn to Bayou City Waterkeeper’s proactive regulatory advocacy and commitment to environmental oversight. Emily hopes to leverage her technical background and legal training to help protect local watersheds from the escalating resource demands of emerging tech infrastructure.
